My computer is asking me whether I want to allow a program called msiexec.exe to run. What is that?

I can't tell what it is, or why my computer is asking me to run it. If I click cancel, the message immediately reappears. What is going on?
I really don't know much about computers.
I have answered this same question 5 times this week when the new windows 7 updates came out...that is a windows installer process....let it run............
