Can I connect my usb preamp to LCD monitor?

I am thinking about buying Asus MT276HE LCD monitor. I will be using this lcd monitor solely for ps3 console gaming. For gaming sound, i was thinking about connecting my M audio usb preamp
to the monitor. Both of my M audio Bx5a studio monitors

The only function of the USB connection for that preamp is for power.

Maybe you can use a powered USB hub (that has an AC power brick) and use that to power that Preamp.

While the PS3 has two USB ports in the front, those
