Canon MP500 printer, black ink smears when printing?

I have a Canon MP500, which I bought used. I just replace the ink cartridges and when printing, on every page, the black text smears a few times. How can I fix that?

It's the printer head. Contact Cannon and ask for a new printer head. Either you can install it or you can send it in to them to be installed.
